I hate goodbyes..

In a few hours, my brother, Marc Virtucio, is already leaving off the country to work in Singapore for two years. He’ll be getting his apprenticeship there, and two-year experience before taking up the Architectural Board Exam here in the Philippines.

I know this might sound cheesy but for sure I am going to miss him. Seeing him pack his things, and thinking that he’ll be away for two years just makes things just worse. So, how can it be be more painful tomorrow when we actually say our real goodbye to him at the airport? :( A while ago after our last dinner with him, he asked Durben if he will miss him, and Durben just said “wala ng mangungulit, wala ng maingay sa bahay”. Yes, it’s true. There will be no more in the dining area who’ll make jokes, who’ll throw punch lines, who’ll laugh so loud that it makes us laugh too.. There will be no more familiar shout in the living room Hoooyyyyyyy directed to my sister and at the very least, makes us complete.

I just remembered this.. We were going home, I was lucky it was dark.. A tear fell off my eye just thinking about all these stuffs.. :(

I know that 2 years will just be very sudden, but even so, him not being around with us at the dining table during dinner will make me feel sad. It wouldn’t be the same without him. But, I know whatever is out there in Singapore will give him one step ahead in his career. I believe that he’ll do his best no matter what. :) We love you! Kuya, ingat ka lagi dyan!
