Digital Age, Let’s Maximize it.
I saw this link from my twitter updates from my professor, Sir Rom.
And here are my thoughts about this video:
During the early 2000′s, we used to want a cellphone. Some of us might have begged to our parents to have one. Remember Nokia 3310? Snakes? Opposite? Pinball? The rotating phone when it’s vibrating? Remember the fun and fulfillment when you have a phone? But now, you could see people throwing and literally playing with their cellphones.
Now, computers. In my opinion, having computer is already a necessity to our life. Using magicjack to call our relatives abroad, chatting, playing network games, paying utility bills online, buying groceries, reading news, manga magazine, online-streaming, researching, etc., are just some of the usage of computers.. But wherever cafes I go, I could see people having their netbooks on just facebook-ing or chatting. You might not notice it yourself but your computer might be more powerful and more useful than you think. Maybe it could render videos a lot faster than the others, maybe it could do 3D animations better, or maybe you be a multi-tasker with it.
My only point is that why can’t some of our leaders use this available technology, keep us informed and keep us on track about what’s happening, and what might happen to our country, now that micro-blogging tool is famous and that almost everybody could have access with it. Why don’t some teachers use this tool to make education a lot easier for children? iPods, are really popular and podcast is the best way to keep student learning while on-the-go. Discussion groups online might also be a good way to make students learn anywhere but with just an internet access. But, let’s start what everybody already have? Cellphone. The easiest way to deliver and receive a message. So let’s be creative and start with that, shall we? Let’s maximize everything now that we’re already in the Digital Age.
